My basketball journey began at the age of 13 when my P.E. teacher, Mr. McCall, introduced me to the game during secondary school. From that moment, I developed a deep love for basketball that has continued to grow throughout my life. I went on to play at the National League level, gaining valuable experience and competing in games across the country.

After several years as a player, I transitioned into coaching to share my knowledge, passion, and experience with the next generation. I’ve had the privilege of coaching young players and U18 teams, focusing not only on developing their technical skills but also on building their confidence, teamwork, and mindset — key elements for success both on and off the court.

I hold Level 1 and Level 2 basketball coaching certifications, which have helped me strengthen my approach and ensure that my players receive high-quality training. Coaching has been an incredibly rewarding experience, allowing me to inspire young athletes to reach their potential and to instill in them the same love for the game that has shaped my own journey.

I began playing basketball in Brent 32 years ago and have been passionate about the sport ever since.

Over the years, I honed my skills, competed in numerous tournaments, and earned several trophies. My love for the game led me into coaching, where I’ve had the privilege of mentoring young players and giving back to the Brent community.

I’ve coached at various levels — from U12s and U18s to London Met University — serving as both assistant and head coach with the Brent Blazers. I take pride in developing young athletes into skilled players and responsible adults. For me, basketball is more than a sport — it’s a way of life.

My Journey Starts with my Uncle Robert who showed me the game of Basketball. During this period Michael Jordan was everything and i was hooked at the age of six. Often begging for him to take me to his basketball Practice or scrimmage...the game of Basketball became a love like none other. So he would give me fundamental drills to complete weekly, which was a challenge I accepted with open arms.Everyday was basketball and it was fun so it never felt like practice slowly I could see my skills developing to become the next Michael Jordan

At 13, I was invited to a basketball session with the Westminster Warriors, where I found a home of like minded basketball players wanting be great,playing for Brent and Westminster in the London youth games and Westminster Warriors national league U16s and U18s.

After a Long spell away from the game I wanted to give back to the community by helping the next generation in unlocking their greatness. In 2018 I gained a Level 2 Qualification in Coaching and became an assistant coach at Westminster Warriors U16 Junior program. With all the highs and lows, I learnt that creating good relationships would be key in progressing as a coach.

After years of Building Basketball friendships, in 2021 I came to Brent Blazers to assist with Coach Mike, Coach Phil, Coach Mark and Coach Romel,with the same mindset to help the next generation within the community.
